Chalet Rio is a spacious, luxurious, self catered chalet for 6 persons, located
in one of the most beautifull and unspoilt locations in the Swiss alps.
Completed in 2006, to a very high standard, the 100 m2 chalet is on two levels and
commands a stunning view on and across the Rhone Valley. The property offers five
star accommodation with a large living and dining area with open kitchen, three
double bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a direct motor access including 3 parking
slots and an individual garage.
Located 10 km from the motorway, nestling at the foot of the Les Muverans
mountain range, the village Mayens-de-Chamoson, which is part the holiday resort
of Ovronnaz, enjoys a mild and invigorating climate at an ideal altitude of 1350
meters.
It's south-facing plateau stretches out amidst marvellous scenery and offers
unique and varied activities.
Benefiting from a unique microclimate and surrounded by the Muverans moutain
range, Ovronnaz offers a constant and abundant supply of powder snow and an
enchanting natural setting for your excursions on skis, snowboard, or.. a
reclining chair on one of the mountain café terraces.
The Ovronnaz ski area offers 30 kms of pistes, three crosscountry skiing/skating
loops (25 km of runs in total), 15 km of marked footpaths, a 5 km snowshoe
route… and huge expanses of powder snow perfect for Telemark and rambling.
Not to forget the après ski in the several bars and the relaxing Thermal Baths
with 3 pools in the village, which is just within a 15 minute walking distance
from the Chalet.
And it's not just a winter paradise. Situated in the Valais area, makes it a
perfect place for summer holidays; in particular it's an ideal base for walking,
wine tasting, painting, flora and fauna excursions, as well as numerous, more
energetic options.
Ovronnaz also makes the ideal base to visit many world famous places – the ski resorts
of Verbier, Crans Montana, Chamonix and Villars are all close by and the towns of Montreux,
Vevey and Lausanne, sitting alongside Lake Geneva, make a great days sight seeing. |
